Faculty of Engineering, KU Sriracha Hosts the International Digital Health Symposium 2026, Forging Collaborations to Elevate Medical Innovation: "Integrating Knowledge for the Future of Dental Technology"

On Friday, July 10, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha, Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus, hosted the "International Digital Health Symposium 2026" at the Holiday Inn & Suites Siracha Laemchabang. The event was honored by the Vice President of Sriracha Campus, who delivered the opening remarks and warmly welcomed a distinguished gathering of network partners, engineering experts, medical and dental professionals, and industry leaders from various countries, including France, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Ghana, and Thailand.

The symposium was organized as a vital platform for exchanging knowledge and driving the development of health technologies. In his opening address, the Vice President of Sriracha Campus emphasized a crucial vision, stating, "This symposium brings together professionals from diverse disciplines who share a common goal—to improve healthcare through innovation, engineering, and digital transformation." The atmosphere of visionary exchange today serves as a strong foundation, demonstrating that international collaboration is the primary mechanism for turning medical technology advancements into a tangible reality.

Beyond the overview of health technologies, a widely discussed topic on stage was the cross-disciplinary integration of medicine, dentistry, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and materials science. The symposium featured outstanding international research presentations, including an in-depth analysis on the digital characterization of soft contact lens biomaterials by Dr. Fida Majdoub from ECAM LaSalle, France. Another major highlight focused on healthcare robotics by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Safaa Najah Saud Al-Humairi from Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia. Her session unveiled "RAFIQ," a smart robotic physician assistant equipped with a high-definition display and a PTZ camera for realistic, eye-level tele-consultations, seamlessly integrated with LiDAR sensors and autonomous driving systems to fully support the transition toward Smart Hospitals. Furthermore, the event emphasized the development of smart, responsive dental biomaterials capable of comprehensively meeting practical clinical demands, ultimately enhancing treatment efficiency and fulfilling patient needs in the digital era.

Systematically translating these innovations into practical use requires the tightest cross-disciplinary collaboration. A major highlight of the event was the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony among four leading institutions: the Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha (Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus), the Faculty of Dentistry (Thammasat University), IDDI Academy, and Can Tao University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Vietnam. This partnership aims to build a robust collaborative network for producing research and developing medical and dental technologies that will benefit the global society in the future.
